USPS mail carrier killed in head-on collision in south Tulsa

The driver of the first vehicle struck died at the scene.

KRMG has learned that vehicle was a USPS mail truck, and the driver a letter carrier.

TPD has not released his name, but says his family has been notified.

KRMG spoke with the passenger of the pickup, who said he was asleep at the time of the crash and didn’t know how it happened.

Police got the call about 9:30 a.m., according to TPD Ofcr. Leland Ashley.

Police shut down E. 61st St. for about two blocks as they investigated the deadly wreck.
