Will changes to Parcel Post and Ebay labels affect mail count?
January 31, 201319 Comments
This is an email Ebay sent out to sellers recently. Note that customers must go to an alternative online label printing system to print labels for Parcel Post packages during the mail count.
Dear Ebay seller:
As someone who has used eBay Labels to purchase Parcel Post® in the past, we want to tell you about a recently-announced change that will go into effect January 27, 2013.
USPS will discontinue Parcel Post service as of January 27, 2013. Active listings with Parcel Post will automatically be updated to the new comparable replacement service—Parcel Select®—which will be available in the selling flow and shipping calculator as of January 27.
Know that the new Parcel Select service will not be available for purchase through eBay Labels until March. Sellers that wish to utilize this service before it is available via eBay Labels—and sellers who have sold items with the Parcel Select service—will need to go to the post office or an alternate online postage provider (i.e. Pitney Bowes, Endicia.com, Stamps.com, etc.) to purchase this class of service. Also, be sure to upload tracking information within your stated handling time. If you would like to continue to take advantage of the convenience of eBay Labels until Parcel Select is added to the eBay Labels system, consider temporarily offering a similar service.
As always, thank you for selling on eBay!
Sincerely,
The eBay Shipping Team

PEOPLE!! READ THIS!!! Unreal. Not a coincidence that there is a mail count that ends on March 1st…and the labels online are not available until March? I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!!! This has got to be ….can one not sue for fraud in court or something? Talk about manipulation.
That’s pretty crappy of the usps to. That’s just taking away something we can count
Parcel Post was changed to Standard Post, not Parcel Select…so I don’t know what this means.
That’s what I was thinking. What the hell is parcel select?
So I guess you will scan packages for free until next count!

Beware of Parcel Select on eBay
eBay said active listings with Parcel Post would automatically be updated to the new comparable replacement service (Parcel Select). While eBay has the new Parcel Select service in its selling flow and shipping calculator, sellers won’t be able to purchase Parcel Select service through eBay through its eBay Labels program until March. Which means sellers who select Parcel Select will have to bring their packages to the post office to purchase postage or else use another online postage service.
This is such a rip off to us carriers
Unbelievable!Typical manipulation by the USPS-we have been slammed with mail these past several days as the postal service empties all the places they keep the mail-the days of them hiding it in trailer trucks is past-now they rub our noses in it by doing crap like this-union should investigate this ASAP!

I hope this will lead to a national grievance!!
So sad, but that’s they way they do things.
I am sure the Union will as usual do nothing about it.
UNION?????? You go no stinking union……….
I mean GOT….
Another manipulation in the long line of count manipulations, can you say… HOURLY
It seems as though the Postal Service would rather send business to FedEx and UPS than to pay us for the work we do. I wonder how many customers they send away that won’t be coming back. What brilliant management we have.
don’t u get it ???? if the PO fails and becomes pvt like Fedex who will get all the money we make… hmmm the pocket of upper management!!!!
This is already March, I do not see parcel whatever.. I only see priority mailing. We’ve been duped.
