The question has been asked why as the retired national president I have voiced opposition to the negotiated contract. Some of the critics have taken strong exception to the posts interpreting them as attacks on the current administration which is blatantly untrue. I have not resorted to criticizing the officers and have restrained from the use of adjectives in my criticisms. I accept the fact that they acted in good faith and did what they considered to be in the best interest of the union and the employees, but I criticize because they were wrong.
